Bookkeeper

As our business continues to grow, we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. The successful candidate will contribute to the efficient financial management of our retail operations while working in a supportive and fast-paced environment.

KEY TASKS:

● Processing sales invoices and supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner.

● Managing accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, including payment follow-ups and supplier reconciliations.

● Recording and allocating financial transactions using accounting software (e.g. Xero, MYOB, or similar systems).

● Monitoring income and expenditure to support effective cash flow management and daily retail operations.

● Conducting regular bank, merchant, and general ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.

● Preparing and assisting with the lodgement of Business Activity Statements (BAS), including GST reporting and payment tracking.

● Maintaining organised financial records and supporting compliance with relevant accounting and taxation requirements.

● Assisting management with financial reports and providing accurate data to support business decision-making.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

● At least 1 year of full-time relevant work experience in bookkeeping and payroll processing.

● At least a relevant AQF Certificate IV qualification or higher.

● Technical proficiency with accounting software (i.e Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks) and spreadsheets.

● A reliable and proactive approach to work.

● Strong numerical accuracy with excellent attention to detail.

● Proficient in data entry, financial reporting, and problem-solving.

● Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with clients.

● Strong collaboration ability and team-oriented mindset.

● Ability to manage time effectively.
