About the role:
As an Accountant, you will be supporting the Finance Manager in accounting tasks, financial reporting and overseeing financial transactions to ensure accurate, ethical and legal obligations are met in a timely manner.
Key responsibilities:
Perform monthly balance sheet and profit & loss account reconciliations
Preparation and analysis of Financial Reports including budgets and forecasts as per Company Policy and Procedures
Improve processes for the efficiency of best business practice
Oversee the Additional Service Request (ASR) project and liaise with ASR Project Manager regarding ASR claims
Oversee Pass Through Cost (PTC) and related charges for billing to Department of Home Affairs (DHA)
Preparing weekly Cashflow and Accounts Receivable reports
Prepare monthly PTC reports and ASR reports
Prepare financial reports in AUD and conversion to USD monthly
Key experience:
Ideally 2-3 years' experience in a similar position
Understanding of GL reconciliations
Previous external audit experience (desired)
Understanding of basic Australian Accounting Standards
Degree qualified and/or related industry work experiences (desired)
Experience in NetSuite desired
Intermediate - Advanced Microsoft skills including Outlook, Excel, Word and Publisher ERP Systems Management skills
Ability to work as part of a team / ability to work independently and unsupervised
