Tasks & responsibilities
- Co-design and impmenet thethe Food Safety Program, including participating as an active member on the HACCP team
- Checking raw materials, and packaging materials used by Azura Fresh as required. Advice on new packaging materials to improve ovearall efficiency
- Participating in collecting and sending the finished product samples, raw material samples, environmental swabs to the lab as per the schedule and immediately informing management of any out of spec results that requires prompt attention
- Supervise and coordinate the calibration and maintenance of technical equipment
- Co−ordinate the sensory examination of finished product at start and end of shelf−life according to the schedule
- Assist in responding to any customer complaint and investigating of the root cause and recommending preventive and corrective actions
- Assist in training the staff members on GMP, WHS, Food Safety and HACCP, including Induction Training as required
- Maintain and verify technical records and engineering reports
- Respond to technical issues and perform root cause analysis
- Conduct technical and quality audits in production processes
- Participate in the design, development, and implementation of new products and production projects
- Assist in achieving compliance with specifications and food standards, including co−ordination with Production Supervisor or team leaders and other staff to ensure that finished product is of the highest quality and safety and meets legal requirements
Qualifications & experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering of Food Science
- Proven experience in quality assurance in food industry
- Proven experience in production plants
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
