MSS Security is seeking a dedicated and professional Casual Security Officer to join our team across several of our government sites in Hobart. This is a static guard role, ideal for someone who thrives in a team-oriented environment and is committed to ensuring the safety and smooth operation of the premises.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide a professional, courteous, and helpful point of contact for staff and visitors, assisting with general inquiries and directions.
• Respond appropriately and promptly to incidents, emergencies, or security breaches, ensuring the safety of all personnel and visitors.
• Monitor and control access points to the building, ensuring only authorised personnel are granted entry.
• Work collaboratively as part of a team to maintain high-security standards and resolve any issues that arise.

Ideal candidates will have:

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to deescalate tense situations.
• A readiness, confidence, and assertiveness to manage challenging situations.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Requirements:

• Full Australian working rights.
• Certificate II (or higher) in Security Operations.
• Valid Tasmanian Security licence.
• Valid First Aid and CPR certificates (or willing to obtain).
• Working With Vulnerable People (or willing to obtain).
